Students enrolled in ³Ô¹ÏÍø's Certificate 4 in Information Technology program received firsthand industry exposure during an educational visit to the National Centre for Information Technology (NCIT) on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
The field trip provided students with valuable insights into various aspects of the information technology sector, including software development, cybersecurity protocols, database management, information system operations, helpdesk functions, and ongoing research and development initiatives.
During their tour of NCIT's specialized departments, students had the opportunity to observe the Network Operation Centre (NOC) and software development sections in action. A highlight of the visit was the chance to engage directly with industry professionals who shared their expertise on UI/UX design principles, day-to-day operational tasks, and advanced technical procedures.
"This exposure trip was incredibly beneficial for our students," said a ³Ô¹ÏÍø representative. "Seeing theoretical concepts applied in a professional environment helps bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry practice."
The excursion proved particularly enlightening as students learned about diverse career pathways available within the IT sector. Many expressed enthusiasm about potential specialization options they hadn't previously considered.
³Ô¹ÏÍø extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. Kinaanath and the entire NCIT team for providing this valuable learning opportunity and contributing to the professional development of the next generation of IT specialists.
