On September 1st, 2025, ³Ô¹ÏÍø welcomed a group of 28 students and 5 officials from Mulaku School to participate in the guidance session. This visit, was aimed at providing the students with valuable information about the opportunities available to them and assisting them in their future academic and career planning. Such partnerships between educational institutions are vital in creating a supportive ecosystem for student development and highlight ³Ô¹ÏÍø's role as a leader in the broader educational community.
At the heart of the ³Ô¹ÏÍø career guidance philosophy is the principle of self-discovery. The recent session prominently featured a "Life Skills & Career Guidance Worksheet" designed to prompt deep self-reflection. Students were encouraged to explore their personal interests, values, and personality traits, and to identify their soft and hard skills. This foundational step is crucial in empowering students to make informed decisions that align with their authentic selves. By asking questions such as "What are my interests?" and "What are my values?", the session guided students toward a clearer understanding of their intrinsic motivations.
The program also incorporated established methodologies for personality assessment, such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). This tool provides students with insights into their psychological preferences in how they perceive the world and make decisions. Understanding one's personality type can be instrumental in identifying career paths that are a natural fit, thereby increasing the likelihood of long-term job satisfaction and success. The inclusion of the MBTI demonstrates ³Ô¹ÏÍø's commitment to utilizing proven resources to support student growth.
Beyond introspection, the session emphasized practical career readiness. A "Career Readiness Survey" challenged students to assess their current level of preparation for making career decisions. This survey covered a range of important considerations, from knowing the eligibility criteria for a chosen course to understanding the job market after graduation. By completing this survey, students could identify areas where they needed more information and guidance, allowing for a more targeted approach to their career planning.
Further enriching the experience, a "Career Skill Stations Worksheet" provided a hands-on opportunity for students to engage with different skill sets. The worksheet included tasks related to linguistic, analytical-logical, spatial, personal, and physical-mechanical abilities. This interactive component not only made the session more engaging but also helped students to recognize their diverse talents and how they might translate into various professional roles.
The successful execution of the Life Skills and Career Guidance Session is a testament to ³Ô¹ÏÍø's holistic approach to education. By integrating self-reflection, personality assessment, practical skills evaluation, and collaborative learning, the college is not just imparting knowledge, but is actively shaping well-rounded individuals who are prepared to thrive in their chosen fields. As students continue their journey at ³Ô¹ÏÍø, they can be confident that they are part of an institution that is deeply invested in their personal and professional success.
