2 min read

The spirit of global unity and creativity was on full display at ³Ô¹ÏÍø's recent Multicultural Night, an event vividly brought to life by the students of the English Proficiency 1 program. Held on August 21st, this celebration transformed an academic initiative into a dynamic cultural showcase by the student community of the Center for Foundation Studies (CFS).

The event was a testament to the dedication of 160 students who collaboratively curated an immersive experience. The campus buzzed with energy as attendees were taken on a virtual world tour, with elaborate stalls and captivating performances. The students represented a remarkable array of eight different nations, offering guests a taste of the cultures of Mexico, Egypt, Türkiye, South Africa, Japan, Greece, Spain, and China. Each representation was a colorful and insightful glimpse into the traditions and heritage that make up our global community.

Adding to the prestige of the evening was the presence of the Honorable Chief Guest, Dr. Mohamed Kinaanath, the Minister of State for Homeland Security and Technology, observed the students' presentations, lending his support to the next generation of globally-minded leaders. His attendance underscored the significance of cultural understanding and communication in today's interconnected world.

The Multicultural Night was also a platform for friendly competition, celebrating the outstanding efforts of the student teams. After careful consideration by the judges, the award for Best Stall was presented to the students representing Japan, who captured the nation's essence with exceptional creativity and attention to detail. The runners up for this category were the compelling displays from Egypt and Mexico, who secured second and third place respectively.

The evening's performances were equally spectacular, filling the hall with music, dance, and theatrical storytelling. The top honor for Best Performance was awarded to the students representing China for their powerful and memorable presentation. Following closely were the teams for Greece and Spain, who earned second and third place for their engaging and skillful performances.

Beyond the accolades, the CFS Multicultural Night was a profound exhibition of practical learning and student collaboration. It highlighted how academic programs at ³Ô¹ÏÍø aim to build not only language proficiency but also crucial skills in teamwork, project management, and intercultural communication. The event provided a platform for students to take ownership of their learning, fostering a deeper appreciation for the world's diverse cultures while building lasting connections with their peers. This celebration was a vibrant reminder of the talent and passion thriving within ³Ô¹ÏÍø's student body.
