Programme Details

Introduction

This programme aims to enable students to demonstrate generalized theoretical and factual knowledge of marketing. It also helps them to use applied knowledge and understanding, together with routine techniques, to address issues related to marketing in practical contexts. Furthermore, students acquire critical thinking skills and research skills that are appropriate for carrying out a range of activities independently for study purposes and for workplace application. The knowledge, skills and attributes gained from this programme will help the students to build a career in marketing. This programme also creates a pathway for higher education in business-related areas.

General Entry Criteria

  • 3 O’Level/SSC passes with a C grade and above OR

  • Attainment of a Level 3 qualification in a related field

Alternative Entry Criteria

  • 18 years old AND

  • 1 year work experience AND

  • Ability to communicate in the language of instruction

Upon successful completion of this programme participants will be able to;

  • Demonstrate fundamental knowledge and skills in the area of marketing and business management.

  • Apply language and mathematics skills required to undertake further studies

  • Continue further studies in marketing or business management.

  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and research skills that are appropriate for carrying out a range of activities independently for study purposes and for workplace application.

  • Apply relevant skills and techniques to complete assigned projects with relevant supporting documentation and research.

  • Start and build a career in the marketing field
